Current
work in channel coding studies both the capacities and the strategies
by which those capacities can be achieved for a variety of channels
relavent to network and wireless communications applications. Examples
of channels under consideration include the broadcast channel, over
which a single user communicates information to a collection of recipients,
and a variety of models for time-varying channels. Both of these families
of channels play central roles in a wide variety of wireless and networked
communications applications.
